Dance Week#09 - A series of choreography (Part 2)

Part II of our Dance Week workshops!!

Other than Hip Hop,
our workshops introduced three other genres:
Locking
House
L.A Hip Hop

So apart from what we do best, our choreographers shared what they like!

We have our Public Relations Manager, Jayden Chia to teach Locking.

"It was a very nice experience to conduct a dance sharing session
outside of DWZ as well as along with my dance friends outside.
I always like to share what I love about dance and the knowledge to more people so that more people can embrace the art and participate in it.

I didn't thought that i would have gotten quite a well responded class

So i would like to thank those people that attend my class.

Although the class is very basic, I hope all the people that attend the

class brought something back with them, be it locking/music/passion for dance.

I kind of like the idea where dance club is able to conduct dance week in SIM

If possible, I hope it can be held in a annually basis"
- Jayden Chia

Then, it was House by Justin Peng

"Thanks everyone for coming to my workshop and for giving me this opportunity to share this dance to everyone.
Although it was very tiring and was a totally new genre for the club, you guys really put in the effort to learn it and I hope that you all will keep on dancing, not only house but other dance as well..

Feel the passion, learn the culture and just keep on dancing"
- Justin Peng

Lastly, we have L.A. Hip Hop by Lim Qi Yong

"I believe this dance week has been a fruitful one for all of us.

First of all I want to thank everyone who came to my workshop. I hope everyone took something out of it because I definitely took a whole lot out of this. To witness everyone put in so much effort within the short duration of the workshop was really a huge source of motivation for me.

I want to thank the other choreographers too. For sharing with us their knowledge and passion for dance. It was really inspiring to see how passionate they were towards this one thing we all love, which is dance.

I'm really grateful to be given this chance to play a part in this whole event. As cliche as it may sound, I shall end off with this: 'Dance to express, not to impress.'
"
-Lim Qi Yong

Next up, we have our Dance Battle.....
