SIM DreamWerkz had rock the Zirca stage on 21st Oct night!!! Did you join in the fun??

On that night, these 6 ppl put up a GREAT show earning them future opportunities to perform!!

Being the opening item, it was much of a stress!! (CEO of Starhub; MTV Asia and many many more VIPs were our audiences!!)

BUT!! All thanks to our supporters!!! They have screamed/shouted/cheered for us!! Really make us feel like we owned the stage!!!

The night was awesome!! GREAT ppl, GREAT atmosphere, GREAT show!!! Not mentioning the after party!

One of our supporters, Ee Chin even walk away with the BEST DRESS AWARD!!!

Really wanna thank all our supporters for coming down!! You all were REALLY great audiences!!!! and also much thanks to WATSinside for inviting us to perform!!

Tribute - Halogen Foundation Singapore Fund Raising Dinner

Whats up ppl!!

Are u missing SIM DreamWerkz performance in full strength?

Here's an update for U!!

SIM DreamWerkz's alumni, Shawn has recently invited us to perform for his company, Halogen Foundation, fund raising dinner.


P.S. we were the one and only performance item for that event!! and guess who's our audiences? CEOs of MNC and a VIP! Deputy Prime Minister, Teo Chee Hean. (We even got a chance to snap a photo with HIM!!!)


For this gala dinner, we put up a total of 5 songs, namely Please do not swagger jack me(choreographed by Xue Hui), Born this way(choreographed by Xue Hui), Mercy(choreographed by ShiQi), Girls on the dance floor(choreographed by Windy) and Go ape(choreographed by Jayden, Leycia and Seraph)

It was such a GREAT night! We were so much liked by the attendees as well as the host company! Compliments were overwhelming!!

Other than putting up a GREAT performance, we were hosted to a GREAT dinner too!! Yum Yum!! Thinking of that is mouth watering!!!

Lastly, a BIG BIG BIG thank you to Halogen Foundation for giving us this GREAT opportunity to perform!!

Circle Line Discovery

Hey ppl!!!! How have u been???

SIM DreamWerkz has been busy with performances and competitions lately!!

Earlier this month, some of our dancers were invited to perform for the opening of CIRCLE LINE!!!
Woohoo~~


2nd October 2011, SIM DreamWerkz set off to Telok Blangah station. As it was the grand opening, the station was filled with anticipated audiences. P.S. an estimation from LTA, there were in total of 148,000 attendees at the 12 stations!!

Performing twice, our dance started off with Oh Go (choreographed by Qi Yong), Girls on the dance floor, then an instrumental piece (both choreographed by Windy)


This was a good experience for DreamWerkz as... who really get to perform in a MRT station??!!

BUT! We got to!!!

Happenings - Advance Team audition

Hey peeps!!

Thanks for all those that came for the audition! You guys were so happening!!

After six months, the long waited DreamWerks Advance team audition is FINALLY here and OVER!!!

Look at the number of ppl that came!! Our future DWZ advance team-to-be are hidden inside!!!
These ppl have showed us wat they are capable of! Esp when requested for other genres!! We saw talents from House, popping and even... breaking!!!

This was a fruitful audition and those that received the msg... CONGRATULATIONS!! You are now part of this DWZ FAMILY!!

For those that did not get in, dun be demoralized, there are still chances out there waiting for U!! Jia You Jia You!! and hope to see ya during our next audition!!!

This is the results for CHINGAY AUDITION! Below is the CONFIRMED list of people. We are not eliminating anybody in this audition, the rest will be in the RESERVED team.

Do note that reserves play an impt role in the journey. In any case of injuries or emergencies, yall be the ones that keep this legacy possible!

Everyone in the contingent will be treated equally, everyone’s part of the contingent! We will come together; practice together AND HAVE FUN TOGETHER!

As mentioned in the list of important dates, this WEDNESDAY, 21st September 2011, there will be a CHINGAY 2012 Briefing by PA, 2.45pm @ LT4.04.

HEY PPL!!

CONGRATULATION for those that make it for the audition!!!!

JUNIOR TEAM CYCLE

Date: Every Wednesday (commence on 21st September 2011)
Time: 8:15pm-9:30pm
Fees: $90/3months (excluding $10 registration fee for first timers)
Venue: Ulu Pandan Dance Studio

Everyone has to fulfill AT LEAST 75% (9 out of 12). Failure to do so, your place for the next Junior Team Cycle will be FORFEITED. In other words, if your attendance falls below 75%, to enter the next Junior Team cycle, you will have to undergo the audition AGAIN!!!!

In this class, Allegra will focus more on choreography. There will be a showcase at the 12th lesson of each cycle. EVERYONE HAS TO BE PRESNET AT THE LAST LESSON FOR THE SHOWCASE!! Unless you have a valid reason (case by case basis) and inform before the 10th lesson, your place for the next Junior Team cycle will be FORFEITED!

Please come 15 to 20 mins before 8:15pm for registration and payment (FULL AMOUNT) on that day.

The Junior team audition results are out. Congratulations if you are selected!! For those that are not selected, do not be demoralized. You can strengthen and improved your foundations via Intro to Hip Hop before trying out the audition AGAIN!!! Jia You! Jia You!

Note: Junior team trainings will be starting on the 21st September 2011, 8.15pm at Ulu Pandan dance studio. Do make your payment($90/3mths) on the first training session.

For those that are interested in joining our Intro to Hip Hop course, do note that training will start on 21st September 2011, 7.30pm at Ulu Pandan Dance Studio. Payment will be $120/3mths.

CHINGAY audition (IMPT)

Hey Chingay peeps!!

The audition for Chingay will be this thursday. Details are as follows.

Date: 8th September 2011, Thursday
Venue: 5.09C AND 5.09D (SIM HQ)
Time: 7pm

Don't worry!! You do not have to prepare anything. You will be taught a simple choreography (probably a few eights) and our instructor, Allegra will assess you through that.

NOTE: Pls be there at least 20 mins earlier for registration. And also be in your full dance wear (i.e. COVERED shoes and comfortable outfit for stretching) NO SHORTS AND SLIPPERS ARE ALLOWED. IF YOU ARE WEARING SHORTS, IT MUST BE AT LEAST KNEE LENGTH.

Intro to Hip Hop
Open to hip hop beginners. If you do not have any dance background, this is the right place to start. It will be similar to the current junior class that we are holding. BUT... this time there will be more lessons per cycle. Our instructor will focus mainly on building up foundations and teach one or two choreography.

Fees: $120/12lessons (excluding one time registration fee for first timer)

Junior team
Open to people with basic techniques and dance background. Our instructor will focus more on choreography, that means, you will get to learn more dance and different styles!! This course serves as a platform to help you to get into our performing team too!!

*Note: If we are sourcing for people to join us for ad hoc performance, this is where we hunt them!!!

First experience @ GB Academy Kluang

On 14th August 2011, SIM DreamWerkz was invited to perform at GB Academy Kluang Event. It was the first time that we have ever stepped onto an unfamiliar country. With mixed feelings, 13 of us set off to our destination, Kluang.

On the bus ride, our people were tying hair, munching snacks, putting make up, busy snapping shots and sleeping.

After a long bus journey, we arrived at Kluang. Numerous students were queuing up outside the venue. Eyes were all on us while we walked past them to get into the venue. Wow! The venue was BIG!

Lead to our seats, we were ready for a stage run. As people were flooding in, and due to time constraint, we were not allowed to do a proper one but just a brief mark through. Told to be prepared by 10.20am, we changed into our costumes and await to be up. Filled with anxiety, we standby way before the show started. This was a hard time as waiting keeps us more anxious now.

Finally, we were up next...

"1,2,3... DREAMWERKZ!!" we cheered.

"SIM gives you opportunity to realise your dreams... Lets welcome DREAMWERKZ!"

The audience like our performance!We even have little fans that wanted to took photos with us!

For this show, apart being the first time performing overseas, this was also the first time that we invited two of our junior team members to join us.

Qi Yong and Wilson were the two selected ones to join us in this journey. Together, we trained, we practice and bond together. Although they were not from the performing team, they have put in a lot of effort to show that they are capable of putting up such an impressive show and the performing team has confirmed their efforts.

The show had ended, we had made it!! We had marked a milestone towards our overseas performance. Sim DreamWerkz, this is who we are.
